The California Mid-State Fair has announced the winners of its 2020 Home Wine Competition.
Templeton resident Peter Allman-Ward took home the ‘Best of Show and Best White Wine’ for his Viognier.
Paso Robles resident Michael Baugh won ‘Best of Dessert’ for his Late Harvest Zinfandel.
The ‘Best in Red’ award went to Cambria’s Jim McPherson, and the 'Best of Rose' was awarded to Brad Bunkleman of Santa Maria.
Out of 127 total entries, 24 gold medals were awarded this year.
“We are proud to be able to showcase our fellow Central Coast residents and their varietals during this unprecedented year,” said Colleen Bojorquez, interim CEO.
