A group of Cal Poly Engineering students created a large, motorized advent calendar for the Cambria Christmas Market.
The advent calendar will be featured at the eighth annual market known as a Central Coast "Winter Wonderland."
The team of students that created the calendar say they modeled the project after a German village.
The calendar stands at nearly 14 feet tall and 20 feet wide, featuring 25 days represented by boxes.
Each box displays a diorama, including a shooting star, a polar bear, snow globe, Santa's Workshop and other animated scenes.
