A produce delivery service started by a trio of Cal Poly students is taking off.
Harvestly is an online ordering service that connects consumers to local farmers and producers.
Since it launched in May, Harvestly now has over 80 vendors and just surpassed is 500th order.
The CEO of the company, a Cal Poly sophomore, says Harvestly has paid out over $16,000 to local vendors in the last two months.
As a result of their booming business, Harvestly decided to offer free produce boxes to families affected by the pandemic. To date, 135 free boxes of produce have been delivered to local families in need.
