CAL Fire SLO responded to a 2 acre vegetation fire Friday afternoon off Highway 58 near Helios Way in California Valley.
Officials said the Topaz Fire is spreading in grass at a slow rate with the potential to grow 100 acres.
One engine arrived on scene around 1:30 p.m.
There are no reports of any injuries or threatened structures.
