Move-in for Cal Poly students continued Tuesday amid the smokey and ashy conditions.
Tuesday was expected to be the busiest day.
Students and parents had their temperatures checked before getting the okay to move their things.
Mustang Move-in continues today! As always we are screening temperatures before entering buildings, providing every student with a PPE packet (mask, face shield, information), cleaning bins and more. Thank you for doing your part to #SLOtheSpread. https://t.co/p2EeLtTvVp pic.twitter.com/MAMNHiTSSw

Families wheeled large green bins into the resident halls with their belongings.
One new incoming student and her mom say they picked Tuesday at random to move in and did not expect this type of weather.
"I'm just really appreciative that we're getting at least some freshman experience you know, because everything happened and graduation was canceled. I was afraid that we weren't going to get any of our freshman year either and I've been looking forward to staying in the dorms and everything," said incoming Cal Poly freshman Anabelle Conneely.
Students planning on living on campus have to submit negative COVID-19 results within 72 hours of arriving at the school.
If you are looking to complete your COVID-19 testing requirement, please get tested at a local testing site or schedule an appointment with Campus Health & Wellbeing.
