The Paso Robles Recreation Services partnered with Youth Evolution Basketball to offer a week-long skill camp for kids at both Centennial and Larry Moore Parks.

According to a press release, Sept. 14 was the first day and kids, ages five to 11, play from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Youth Evolution Basketball founder Isaac Rosas said in the press release the camps have been designed to adhere to social distancing and safety guidelines.

Bethany Prado, a parent of one of the kids attending, said she signed her kid up to give him something to do.

“I saw the happiness and excitement in his eyes,” Prado said. “I think he is loving it, I think he is loving the activity. It’s hard being home, they like to be on their tablets and then they’re online all day for school.”

Groups participating were limited to ten kids.
