Baby flamingos meet visitors at the Charles Paddock Zoo Flamingo Parade
It was a pink parade at the Charles Paddock Zoo in Atascadero Saturday morning.
Four baby flamingos fluffed up their feathers for visitors at the Charles Paddock Zoo Flamingo Parade.
The flamingos range in age from two to four months old and have been hand-raised by zookeepers so they can become more independent adults.
Zookeepers hope to familiarize the animals with humans so it is easier to host educational programs with the flamingos.
Zoo visitors had the chance to meet the four babies before they join the adult flock.
Over 200 animals call the Charles Paddock Zoo home, including red pandas, monkeys, meerkats, parrots, a Malayan Tiger, a variety of reptiles and more.
