Arroyo Grande has a new city manager.
The city council adopted a resolution this week appointing Whitney McDonald to the position.
McDonald has been serving as Deputy Acting City Manager since May, after then-City Manager Jim Bergman unexpectedly resigned on April 30.
Bill Robeson, who has been serving as Acting City Manager, was appointed to the newly-created position of Assistant City Manager/Director of Public Works.
McDonald will reportedly make $189,948 per year, the same as Bergman, while Robeson will be paid $175,880, $21,500 more than he made as Public Works Director.
Robeson's new job will share some of the duties of the city manager and function as a chief operating officer for the city, according to city documents.
