A couple in Arroyo Grande has created a rock garden to uplift community members during the pandemic.

The garden is called the "Solidarity and Victory Rock Garden."

Peggy and David Coon say they began painting and planting the rocks right outside of their home a little over a month ago.

Their garden has now grown to more than 100 colorfully painted rocks.

Peggy says dozens of neighbors from the Five Cities area have stopped by to check it out and deliver more rocks.

She says her parents had a victory garden after World War II, which inspired her to start her own.

You can see the garden yourself, or even drop off some of your own painted masterpieces, on the 500 block of Ide Street in Arroyo Grande.
