A 3.2 magnitude earthquake shook the area near Avila Beach on Wednesday.
According to the USGS, the quake struck at 12:05 p.m. about five miles northwest of the beachside town.
On the USGS website, people in the area reported feeling light to weak shaking.
A PG&E spokesperson says the earthquake had no impact on operations at the nearby Diablo Canyon Power Plant and both units remain at 100% power.
"In the event of an earthquake, we have very conservative procedures in place, and we perform a walk down of the facility," said Carina Corral, PG&E Communications Representative. "Our highly-skilled and trained operators in the control room constantly monitor the facility’s systems and components for any irregularities."
