Road work continues this week on Highways 154 and 166

Caltrans is working on a project to replace the roadway striping and pavement markers on Highway 154 and Highway 166 East.

Drivers will encounter lane closures in both directions on Highway 154 at Edison Road on Tuesday, July 30 and Wednesday, July 31 during the overnight hours from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Drivers will also encounter lane closures in both directions of Hwy. 166 East from Cottonwood Canyon Road to the junction with State Route 33 during the overnight hours on Thursday, August 1 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The project is expected to be completed in August, drivers can expect minimal delays during this roadwork.

These improvements will also take place on Hwy. 41 and 46 in San Luis Obispo County and Hwy. 166 in Santa Barbara County. Caltrans has not released dates or times yet for this project.

The contractor for this $4 million project is the Crisp Company of Bloomington, CA.
