The Senior Club Center in Lompoc is in need of donations.

The club center has been around for more than two years.

They provide entertainment and travel for seniors. The entertainment activities include luau’s, Elvis Presley, imitators, potlucks and dancing.

A woman who is moving to Solvang has donated many items to the senior club to sell and raise funds for activities at the Lompoc Senior Center.

Founder of the Lompoc Senior Club, David Tekaat says, “The senior center is owned by the city and they’re broke, so they couldn’t afford to do that stuff. I really miss it and it’s a lot of fun to have get-togethers, socialize and dance. That’s why I started the club I think it’s important.”

Anyone who has things to donate can call (661)-333-7746 and ask for David Tekaat to set up a time to bring by donations.

The fundraiser began on Sunday, and as of Monday, they raised about $100. Donations will be accepted all week.
