Skywest airlines and ACI jet are opening a new maintenance facility at the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport.
The opening is expected to bring in more than 40 high-paying jobs for the community including managers, supervisors, inspectors, and aircraft maintenance technicians.
The 17,000 square foot hangar will have space for up to five aircraft.
Starting in September, the facility will also support overnight maintenance for the airline’s major partners.
