Another new store is set to open up along Higuera Street in Downtown San Luis Obispo.
Signs for Vans shoe store are up at the former Chipotle location on the 800 block of Higuera Street.
The company says an exact opening date has not yet been set as they are still working to obtain the necessary permits.
Chipotle closed its downtown location last year.
Vans says hiring will take place closer to the new store’s opening.
There is currently a Vans store on State Street in Santa Barbara and another in the Pismo Beach Premium Outlets.
Downtown SLO says 22 new storefront businesses have opened up in downtown San Luis Obispo since the start of the year. Of those, 17 are said to be locally owned.
