The ice cube at the California Mid-State Fair has officially melted, but there is a new one in its place.
The Mid-State Fair had been promoting the ice cube and had a $500 prize for the person who could guess how long it would take to melt.
Organizers say the giant 8.1-ton ice cube finally melted Sunday morning at 4 a.m.
Two people had guessed that time correctly, and they each won $250, plus two season passes to the fair next year.
