According to the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce, the Mid-State Fair has generated an estimated $80 million for the city of Paso Robles… while also directly impacting a reported 30,000 jobs in the area.

General Manager for the Hampton Inn & Suites in Paso Robles Mark Samsow said that July and August draw in an additional $30,000 to $50,000 compared to what they see during a normal month.

“Every year we look forward to the fair… July really takes care of itself for the revenue,” said Samsow. “I think for every property that offers rooms in Paso Robles whether it is hotels or VRBOs or vacation rentals or anything like that within 40 miles… everyone really looks forward to the two weeks of the fair coming to town.”

The Cowgirl Café in Paso Robles has also been busy these past couple of days with the Mid-State Fair taking place.

“Sales have definitely gone up… usually on weekdays we won’t do too much, but recently we have done just as much or sometimes even more than we do on weekends,” said host and server at Cowgirl Café Noe Quezada.

Samsow also adding that with some of those bigger artists coming to the fair this year… like Miranda Lambert, Cardi B, and Blake Shelton… those concerts directly affect the rate at which rooms sellout in the area.
