California Mid-State Fair crowns 2019 Queen

A Paso Robles teen was crowned 2019 Miss California Mid-State Fair Queen.

Mikaila Ciampi, 17, will be a senior at Mission College Preparatory High School this fall. Her platform, “Autism: Not a Disability, a Different Ability,” aims to educate children about how to understand and respectfully address their peers with autism.

Ciampi will be at the fair throughout its week-and-a-half long run, introducing performers, taking pictures with fair attendees, and meeting with various dignitaries.

Mary Hambly of San Luis Obispo was named 1st Runner Up and Kara Bullard of Paso Robles was 2nd Runner Up.

Yvette Fiorentino was named Miss Congeniality.

The California Mid-State Fair is taking place through July 28 at the Paso Robles Event Center.
