The Lompoc City Council is moving forward with a potential space center museum in Lompoc.

The city council agreed to move forward with a memorandum of understanding at Tuesday’s meeting.

Pale Blue Dot Ventures wants to build the space museum in Lompoc on 82 acres of city-owned property next to and including Ken Adam Park.

Lompoc City Council Member Jim Mosby said the next step, Pale Blue Dot Ventures needs to approve it can afford the project, which is estimated to cost between $80 million to $100 million.
