Driver injured in rollover crash near Guadalupe

UPDATE (12:38 p.m.)- California Highway Patrol Officer Mike Poelking said the driver involved in a rollover crash on Division Street between Highway 1 and Osos Flaco Road is being treated at Marian Regional Medical Center with major injuries.

He said the black Honda sedan rolled over on the side of the highway at about 6:22 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Only one person was inside the car, according to CHP and they are still investigating the cause of the crash.

Original story posted: 7:57 a.m. — A driver was pulled from their wrecked car near Guadalupe Tuesday morning.

It happened at about 6:20 a.m. on Division Street between Highway 1 and Osos Flaco Road.

According to CHP, the vehicle rolled multiple times before landing in a field.

The Guadalupe Fire Department reports passersby helped get the driver, who reportedly suffered moderate to severe injuries, out of the vehicle.

They were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
