Lompoc Police Department Officer Eric Andreasen was honored by the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Southern California Region for being the department’s top arresting officer for impaired drivers this past year.
Andreasen was recognized at the 2019 Law Enforcement and Prosecutor Recognition Luncheon at the Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo on June 19.
The recognition marks Officer Andreasen’s 19th time being honored & recognized by MADD for his DUI enforcement efforts.
According to a press release, Andreasen has made hundreds of DUI arrests in his career of 27 years with the Lompoc Police Department, which has saved countless lives.
The MADD California Pin Program is a pin that is awarded to sworn peace officers for their service over a one-year period.
The pin is red to symbolize MADD’s mission, to represent the victims of impaired driving crashes, and more specifically for peace officers, to memorialize and honor those peace officers who have been injured and killed in impaired driving collisions.
