A lot of people packed the Chick-fil-A in Santa Maria dressed as cows Tuesday to take advantage of the company’s cow appreciation deal.

The deal is easy, dress up as a cow, get a free entrée.

At the Santa Maria location, people got really creative, some made cow costumes out of clothes they already owned.

“It’s so fun dressing up like a cow, I’m not gonna lie making the clothes, putting on your makeup and all that is actually really fun and it’s fun to do it with the family,” cow supporter Ann Marie Vizcarra said.

Santa Maria Chick-fil-A employee Joey Hickox said celebrating cows is a huge part of the company’s campaign.

“It’s really a celebration of cows we appreciate them, they’re great, we love them. They’re a huge part of our marketing campaign so we take one day of the year and we celebrate that,” he said.

The deal runs until 7 p.m. at all Chick-fil-A locations.
