The City of Santa Maria is asking the community to help design the look for two upcoming park projects.

The city is planning on creating a Veterans Memorial Park near Tunnell Street, along with the Enos Ranch Park and multi-cultural center on South Bradley Road.

The city is receiving the funding for these projects through the California State Parks proposition 68 grant programs.

There will be a meeting to discuss the veterans park on July 11 at the Veterans Memorial Community Center.

A meeting about the Enos Ranch Park is scheduled for July 17 at the County Board of Supervisors Hearing Room in Santa Maria.

Questions regarding the outreach events may be directed to the Recreation and Parks Department at (805) 925-0951 extension 2260.
