UPDATE (5:30 p.m.) – The California Highway Patrol says a 57-year-old man was killed and two other people were hospitalized following a head-on crash Monday afternoon on Pomeroy Road in Nipomo.
Officers say one of the drivers crossed over the double yellow lines around the curve near Sandydale Drive, causing the crash.
CHP says it is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
The road was closed in the area.
UPDATE (4:55 p.m.) – The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office says a coroner has been called to respond to the crash.
(4:26 p.m.) – Emergency crews responded to a head-on crash Monday afternoon in Nipomo.
It happened just after 4 p.m. on Pomeroy Rd. near Sandydale Dr.
Pomeroy Rd. was reportedly closed as a result of the crash.
