The City of Paso Robles is warning residents that Paso Pops, a Fourth of July event scheduled to take place Thursday evening, will include military cannon blasts for sound effects.
Paso Pops will take place from 4-10:15 p.m. at the Paso Robles Event Center on Riverside Ave.
The event includes food vendors, children’s activities, games and rides, wine tasting, and a fireworks show with live music performed by the San Luis Obispo Symphony.
People living nearby will likely be able to hear the fireworks and other sound effects. The city’s fire marshal is reminding residents that loud noises can scare pets and that pets should be secured so they don’t run away.
