Two people were hospitalized following a head-on crash Monday evening in Santa Ynez.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to reports of the head-on crash at around 6:54 p.m.
The crash happened on the 2100 block of N. Refugio Road. Fire officials say two vehicles were involved, and one car caught on fire.
When firefighters arrived they were able to extinguish the fire and extricate one of the drivers from the vehicle.
According to Santa Barbara County Fire, one person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries by AMR, and another person was flown to Cottage hospital with major injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
