Brown Butter Cookie Company plans to open shop in San Luis Obispo

A Central Coast favorite, Brown Butter Cookie Company, is opening a new shop in downtown San Luis Obispo this fall, the business announced on social media Thursday.

The company says the shop will be located at 1003 Osos Street, on the corner of Osos and Monterey.

Brown Butter Cookie Company is based in Cayucos. Sisters Traci and Christa Hozie started the bakery in 2008.

San Luis Obispo will be their third location. In 2013, they opened a shop in downtown Paso Robles.

The bakery is best known for its famous Original Brown Butter Sea Salt Cookie. It’s even been featured on The Today Show.
