All carnival rides at the California Mid-State Fair will be free on opening day this year.
The gates and carnival open at noon on Wednesday, July 17, and the carnival closes at midnight.
This is the first time in the fair’s history free rides have been offered.
The promotion extends to rides in the Main Carnival and Cub Country but does not include fair admission, attractions in the Fun Zone and Rancho Frontier, or any games.
The 2019 California Mid-State Fair runs from July 17 to 28 at the Paso Robles Event Center.
