UPDATE: San Luis Obispo County Sheriff Deputies locate missing at-risk man

(UPDATE: 1:15 a.m. Wednesday) – San Luis Obispo County Sheriff deputies say they have safely located Robert Rudd.

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff deputies are searching for a man they say is considered at-risk.

Robert Rudd was last seen Tuesday at around 11 a.m. on an electric bicycle riding away from his home in the 6800 block of Live Oak Lane in rural San Luis Obispo.

Deputies say the 73-year-old is considered at-risk because he suffers from dementia and he reportedly left without his cell phone and medications.

According to a press release, Rudd has left before from his home and traveled to Arroyo Grande on his bike and returned, however, he has never been gone this long.

Rudd is described as being  5′ 11″ tall, 230 pounds with short brown and gray hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, light blue button-up shirt, and brown pants.
