UPDATE (6/11/19) – Rogers Jewelry Co., a jewelry shop new to San Luis Obispo, says it’s behind a couple of billboards that had drivers questioning, “Who’s Roger?”

The “Roger, will you marry me?” billboards popped up on the outskirts of San Luis Obispo a few weeks ago.

More recently, they were updated to read, “He said yes!”

On Tuesday, Rogers Jewelry Co. confirmed that the billboards are part of a marketing campaign with “a whole plan behind it.”

The store is moving into the former Kevin Main Jewelry store in downtown San Luis Obispo.

(6/10/19) – Drivers in San Luis Obispo County may have noticed unique billboards along Highway 1 and Highway 101 over the past few weeks.

The first billboard was located just past Stenner Creek outside of San Luis Obispo, and reads, “Roger, will you marry me?”

After a few weeks, Roger has responded to the marriage proposal, and he said yes!

There is now a small sign in the upper right corner that reads, “He said yes.”

There is another billboard located at the bottom of the Cuesta Grade on Southbound 101.

The images on the billboards show a man and woman embracing with what appears to be the ocean in the background.

The question still remains though, who is the happy couple?
