The annual “Healthy Over Hungry” cereal drive starts Friday.
Hosted by Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo and Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton, the food helps provide kids in need with a healthy breakfast over the next few months.
Anyone can stop by the two hospitals from now until next Friday, June 14 to donate a box of cereal.
The hospitals say summer is a hard time for kids who rely on school meals for daily nutrients.
All of the food stays local and goes to the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County.
