Man found with loaded firearms, meth pipe at the Orcutt Jack in Box parking lot arrested, authorities say

A man was arrested on Friday night at a Jack in the Box parking lot in Orcutt.

According to a press release from Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office, 32-year-old Kyle Kenneth Hogue of Templeton was found under the influence of a controlled substance and was arrested.

“When deputies searched Hogue, they located a glass smoking methamphetamine pipe in his jacket,” the press release stated. “They searched his backpack and located a loaded 9mm Rock Island Armory pistol without a serial number, a loaded sawed-off Springfield Model 67 12-gauge shotgun also without a serial number and a PR-24 Baton. There were also 100 rounds of 9mm ammunition and six rounds of 12-gauge ammunition.”

He is booked at the Santa Barbara County jail on several charges including a concealed firearm, manufacturing etc. a short barrel gun, manufacturing etc. lead cane, possession of unlawful paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Hogue is being held on $35,000 bail.
