Injuries were reported in a head-on crash that closed a portion of Highway 41 in Atascadero into early Saturday morning.
It happened at about 10:21 p.m. Friday along the 13550 block of the highway.
In a press release issued Saturday morning, Atascadero police say one of the drivers had to be extricated and sustained moderate to major injuries. The people in the other vehicle reportedly sustained moderate injuries.
All were transported by ambulance to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo but an update on their condition was not immediately known.
The highway was closed for approximately 3.5 hours following the crash, which remains under investigation.
Calls to Atascadero police Friday night for information on the crash have not been returned.
