A Lompoc man is facing charges in connection with the death of his own child.
Police arrested Jose Ramirez, 27, this week on suspicion of willful harm to a child resulting in death.
Investigators say the baby died on May 19. No other details about the death were released.
Police say they interviewed Ramirez on Thursday and based on their investigation and that interview, he was taken into custody.
