A motorcyclist was airlifted to the hospital after crashing on Highway 1 north of Ragged Point Wednesday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol says the rider was heading south when he crossed over the center line and sideswiped another vehicle. The impact threw the man off his bike.
CHP says the man was taken by ambulance to the Ragged Point Inn where he was then airlifted to the trauma center at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo.
An update on his condition was not immediately known.
