For the first time, the California Mid-State Fair is offering a scholarship to youth participating in the fair.
The Youth Legacy Project & Scholarship will be available to high school sophomores and juniors involved in the Junior Livestock Show, Industrial Education Show, Agriculture/Floriculture/Ornamental & Horticulture Program and/or the Tractor Restoration Project.
Students can apply online at www.CFSLOCO.org. The deadline is June 9, 2019.
Fair officials say one scholarship will be awarded each year.
The Mid-State Fair is partnering with the James W. Brabeck Youth Legacy Fund to present the scholarship. A fundraising event will be held at the fair on Saturday, July 27.
