The Lompoc Police Department has a new K-9 team.
Thanks to a private donation from a community member, the police department was able to purchase Brahms, a two-year-old German shepherd.
Brahms has been partnered with Officer David Garza.
The two are going through a 10-week training program, and Brahms will reportedly be trained in both narcotics and patrol procedures.
Officer Garza and Brahms will fill the empty space left open when K-9 Bolt and his handler, Officer Delauretis, retired from the police department last month.
