Grammy Award-winning artist Ashanti is kicking off the Santa Barbara County Fair.
She is set to hit the stage on July 10 as part of the Bud Light Concert Series.
Ashanti has an impressive movie and film career. Her self-titled debut album “Ashanti” hit number one on both the Billboard Top 200 and R&B album charts.
Her debut album also broke records. High album sales in the first week set a SoundScan record for the most albums sold by any debut female artist, which grabbed her a spot in the Guinness World Records.
Ashanti also has an extensive movie and television career. She has appeared in the Muppets’ Wizard of Oz, The Proud Family and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Her film credits include Resident Evil Extinction, John Tucker Must Die and Bride and Prejudice.
