More than 2,400 customers were without power in the Templeton area on Tuesday evening.
The outage began at about 5:10 p.m.
PG&E said it was assessing the cause of the outage and expected the lights to be back on by 8:30 p.m.
A power outage in Templeton on Monday afternoon was attributed to a faulty switch, according to PG&E.
