Traffic has slowly resumed after a crash closed Highway 101 northbound at the Cuesta Grade summit Sunday afternoon.

According to the CHP traffic incident page, a vehicle was reported on its side blocking all lanes of traffic shortly after 3:15 p.m. No one was injured.

Viewers have reported a long wait time as of 5:30 p.m. CHP says multiple vehicles have attempted to make illegal u-turns, causing near misses in southbound traffic.

Among updates on the incident shortly after the crash, Caltrans was being prepared for a “long term closure.”

But in a recent tweet from CAL Fire SLO, the road will reopen soon.
