The Applause Children’s Theater company is putting on “Annie, Jr.,” its own version of the iconic production.

Nearly 80 children between the ages of six and 17 are a part of the musical.

They’ve been rehearsing for the show since the beginning of January.

One of the young girls who will be playing the lead role of Annie hopes everyone who comes out to the performances appreciates the dedication each of the cast and crew members put into the production.

“I definitely hope they leave with a smile on their face because we’ve worked really hard but overall it’s a really good play. It will bring a smile to your face,” said Vogelpohl.

The production will be held in the auditorium at Flamson Middle School in Paso Robles, with shows slated for Friday, May 3, and Friday, May 10, at 7 p.m., as well as Saturday, May 4, and Saturday, May 11, at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Tickets are $15 a person. Kids ages three and under are free.
