Fans waited in line for hours at Central Coast movie theaters Thursday to be among the first people to watch the new “Avengers” movie.
Many “Avengers: Endgame” showings in the area were sold out for the local premieres.
The Marvel franchise is the most successful in Hollywood history, raking in more than $7 billion from about two dozen films.
“Endgame” marks its final chapter and fans are excited to take in the last, more than three-hour-long production.
“It’s been eager. I’ve been waiting forever for this movie. Ever since the first trailer came out, I’ve just been waiting forever,” said nine-year-old James Romel, who lined up outside Regal Cinemas in Arroyo Grande on Thursday.
There are multiple showings of the movie being held locally throughout the weekend.
