California Highway Patrol officers are working to clear a trailer that is blocking lanes of Highway 154 in the Windy Gap area.
According to the CHP incident page, a semi-truck was pulling a trailer on the highway when its axle broke just after 7 a.m. Wednesday.
Drivers told dispatchers the trailer separated from the truck and was blocking lanes.
A towing company is on the way but CHP officers do not know when the lanes will be cleared and back open.
Drivers taking Highway 154 through the Santa Ynez Valley should plan for delays or opt for a different route altogether.
