Hundreds of people in Lompoc turned out for a job and resource fair on Wednesday.

More than 60 businesses were on hand to speak with prospective employees.

“We have a great number of people that get jobs on the spot,” said Luis Servin, Santa Barbara County Workforce Board Program Manager. “We just had a person that walked in today and said they actually got a job last year by attending the job fair.”

The job fair is held each year as part of Santa Barbara County Workforce Week.

There will also be a Young Adult Jobs Summit on Friday, April 27, at the Lompoc Boys and Girls Club from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event is free, but online registration is requested.
