Police say two arrests have been made in connection with thefts from unlocked vehicles in Morro Bay.

Last week, Morro Bay police say they took multiple reports for thefts from unlocked vehicles.

Through eye witness reports and other information, police say they were able to identify Louis Rogers, 23, as a potential suspect.

He was reportedly arrested over the weekend in Los Osos and booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail.

Police say most of the items he is believed to have taken were recovered and returned to the owners.

Monday night, another arrest was made after a witness reported seeing a suspicious person with a flashlight inside a vehicle.

Police say Derek Frawley, 19, had rummaged through several vehicles and was in possession of stolen property.

Police are still working to identify other possible suspects and get stolen property that has been recovered back into the hands of the rightful owners.

Police ask anyone with information on other possible suspects or who may have had items stolen from their vehicle to call them at (805) 772-6225.

Police remind everyone to lock their vehicles when they are not in them and to keep valuables out of plain or take them out of the car.
