The California Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run collision that occurred along Highway 1 between Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo on Monday, April 8.
Investigators say the driver of a disabled vehicle had pulled over onto the righthand shoulder of the highway, southbound near Gilardi Rd. Another driver pulled over directly in front of the vehicle, apparently to render assistance, but as the driver of the first vehicle stood in front of the car looking at the engine, the other driver suddenly backed up, pinning him between the two cars. The driver then fled the scene.
The man who was pinned reportedly suffered minor injuries to his legs.
