The City of Santa Maria’s Recreation and Parks Department is looking for input from locals on the Enos Ranch Park Project.

Organizers and community members met Wednesday afternoon to discuss what kind of amenities they would like to see and what kind of events they would like to be held at the park.

The city is in the process of applying for Proposition 68 state grant funding to develop Enos Ranch Park and several other projects in Santa Maria.

Analyst manager Dennis Smitherman says, “We really want to make sure that as our community changes that we are taking their wants and needs into account when we are creating a new park…it’s one of the most important things we can do.”

Another meeting will be held Thursday, April 11 regarding the Santa Maria Sports Complex. It will go from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Community Center.

If you miss either of the meetings, you can visit this website and provide your input.
