The SLO County Homeless Oversight Council divided $4.8 million of state funding for homeless services to both North and South county projects.
$2.6 million is for a two-part housing project in Grover Beach.
$1.5 million to Paso Robles and Atascadero shelters and $400,000 to CAPSLO for a detox program at 40 Prado.
The Hillside Church project in Grover Beach faced strong opposition from neighbors since the Five Cities Homeless Coalition applied for funding.
Now, these allocated funds must be approved by the county board of supervisors. That meeting will take place on April 23.
