Caltrans is offering $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors on the Central Coast.
The scholarship program is funded through the sales of coffee and baked goods in the Caltrans District 5 cafeteria.
It’s geared toward college-bound seniors who are planning to pursue a career in transportation. Eligible students must live in the counties of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito.
