Highway 41 near the Cerro Alto Campground between Atascadero and Morro Bay is back open after a vehicle hit a telephone pole in the area, according to CHP.
According to the California Highway Patrol incident page, a telephone pole and wires were reported down on the roadway near Morro Road and Cerro Alto Road just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
When officials arrived on scene at 2:45 a.m., they found a gold Ford Ranger had hit the pole before going down into an embankment just off Morro Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol incident page, a Sigalert was issued for Highway 41 near the Cerro Alto Road area with hard closures in both the southbound and northbound lanes at 4:15 a.m.
AT&T was responding to the scene to remove the downed telephone pole.
CHP said the roadway reopened just after 6:30 a.m.
The incident page said one person involved suffered from minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
