The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect in a stabbing last month in Los Osos.

Sheriff’s officials say they’re requesting that the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office file a charge of assault with a deadly weapon against Brandon Richard O’Connor, 25, of Morro Bay.

On Feb. 23, investigators say a man was found at a home in the 1200 block of 2nd Street with stab wounds to his chest. He was taken to the hospital, treated and released. Residents may have also noticed law enforcement activity later that day in the area of 6th Street and Santa Ysabel Ave. where the victim’s car was found.

Sheriff’s officials have not released any details about a motive in this case or a photo of O’Connor.
